This application should be used when you are recovering ssCMS passwords from the database where they are stored as encrypted strings. The passwords are encrypted using the value of the “application_salt” setting from the ssCMS Web.config file.
Please note that the Salt/Key for the encryption is always required to recover an encrypted string so it should be stored in a secure location.
